Tennis Challenge Cup Winners Meet Former British Ace

Greg Rusedski Meets Winners
The winners and the runners up of the first Tony Blair Tennis Challenge met former British tennis star Greg Rusedski on a visit to the National Tennis Centre.

Children from Durham Lane Primary school in Eaglescliffe, along with runners-up Chandlers Ridge Primary, received a day's coaching at the centre as part of their prize for winning the competition.

Former world number 4 Rusedski is now the Lawn Tennis Association's Talent Ambassador.

He said:

"It was fantastic to see such enthusiasm for Tennis from children so young. If we can encourage children to take up the sport at an early age then there is every possibility we can nurture young talent and start producing some genuine stars of tomorrow."
